Tulsa Wedding and Bridal Photos

Congratulations to Holly and Austin who were married on Saturday, July 18, 2009 at Camp Loughridge in Tulsa, Oklahoma. We will be showing pictures from their wedding soon; but for now here are some of Holly's bridal portraits, taken in the gardens at the Philbrook Museum.

Anniversary....

Kori and I just celebrated our 3 year anniversary. We wanted to take this opportunity to share with you some of our wedding pictures, for those of you that missed them the first time around. We love these pictures so much, and it allowed us to understand from a bride and groom's perspective, just how important, fun, and special their wedding photos are!

Below are some of Kori's bridal portraits (taken by Jason) the day after our wedding. We ventured into the Nevada desert into blazing 114 degree wedding. Kori was a great sport about it, even lying on rocks that were no telling how hot!

Krystin's a Senior!

My sister Jamie and I recently made a little road trip to shoot some really fun images of our cousin Krystin, who will be graduating from Mena High School in 2010. I think this shoot really sums up our style of "senior portraits." It's a little different from most of what you'll see out there in the senior world. Less cheesy/model-y (which if you are cheesy or model-y, that's great, but if you just want to be yourself can be a bit awkward), and more lifestyle/editorial. Our goal was for the pictures to really sum Krystin up at this point in her life. I absolutely love the results! Here are a few of our favorites:








This is what happens when you let your crazy cousins take your senior pictures! : )




This next one is not just us being "cool" by photographing Krystin in a distressed urban setting (although we have been known to do that!), it's actually a shot of her alongside some of the tornado damage in downtown Mena. The twister hit her hometown the night before they were supposed to have their high school prom.





We also went to Krystin's house to do some of the photos. We got some of her hanging out with her dogs, and also took some of her in her room. We wanted her to be able to look back on these years later and be able to see her hanging out in her "space." An interesting sidenote: the paintings hanging up in her room (with the amazing red walls) were both done by Krystin. So talented!








These last four were from a series that was especially fun to shoot for Jamie and me. Krystin is a lifeguard at the pool where Jamie and I pretty much grew up. Our Dad used to manage the pool in the summers, and Jamie and I spent every minute there from the time we were kids until partway through college. I so wish we had some photos like this of us at the pool to look back on! It was great to get to go back for a visit.

Beach Wedding - Sneak Peek

We'll be making their full gallery this week and will share that with you here as soon as it's ready. In the meantime, we just had to give you a sneak peak at this gorgeous wedding we just got back from photographing in Pensacola Beach, Florida. The Groom worked really hard buiding the altar/hut for his new bride, including transporting the bamboo and materials from Arkansas to Florida. Very cool Joe!

Trash the Dress

These pictures were all taken by Kori (way to go babe!) during Jamie and Joe's "Trash the Dress Session." The TTD session is not so much about destroying a wedding dress, as it is about having the ability to take cool pictures without having to worry about hurting the dress. No this wasn't Jamie's "real" wedding dress, but it was one of three (3!) she bought for her wedding. She had a beautiful Pronovias gown from She Said Yes Bridal for her ceremony, and then a second (short!) wedding dress for her reception, followed by this dress she bought exclusively for these pictures! Jamie and Joe were really cool to wake up for the early morning light and brave the FREEZING ocean!

Destination Wedding...

Hello!

We are back from Jamie and Joe's wedding in Pensacola Beach, Florida. We have a TON of pictures to go through. Over the next week we will be posting images from the wedding day, the day-after "Trash the Dress" session and also a sunset bridal portrait session we did with Jamie; including these pictures right here!

Married barefoot in the sand!

It has always been Jamie's dream to be married barefoot in the sand. Just a few days and her dream becomes reality. Kori and I are heading out tonight (July 3) for Florida. We have found it is easier on the kids to drive through the night! We'll be out of the office until July 13.
