Well yes, congratulations Kori for being 9 weeks pregnant :-) but also congratulations for placing not once, but twice in the latest contest of the Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalism Association. The WPJA is made up of thousands of top notch wedding photographers across the entire planet, so to even place in the Top 20 is a huge deal for any wedding photographer!
Last week, weather forecasters predicted an ice storm for our area. Not wanting to be stuck at home without heat or electricity with three small children, we decided to head south to Kori's parent's home in Mena. Well it turned out that the winter storm moved south to Mena, and we ended up losing power down there a couple of times! I did try and find some beauty in the frigid weather, focusing on the trees in the folk's yard (it was too cold to venture much further than that!)
All this snowy weather we've had lately put us in the mood to peek through our Christmas photos! We enjoyed the holiday so much this year, spending time with family and making the most of a very rare White Christmas here in Northwest Arkansas. We had so much fun with the kids on our vacation to Colorado. They did great on the road trip (no small feat for an 8-year-old, a 6-year-old and a 1-year-old stuck in the car for 17 hours!), and we were blown away by how completely fearless and generally awesome they were on the mountain! These kids took to snowboarding like fish to water. I guess it runs in the family! : )

As part of their first date, Michelle and David wandered into a used book store. We returned there for some of their engagement pictures.
There were about 200 booths and about 1000 brides at the Arkansas-Democrat Gazette Bridal Fair this past weekend in Little Rock. Judging from the displays, we'd say that 2010 looks to be another year of some beautiful weddings with a hand-made "vintage" feel.
